Jean Deloris (Nelson) Beltz of Rochester, Minnesota, formerly of Bloomington, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024. She was born October 6, 1924, in Holdrege, Nebraska to Edward and Almeda (Bjorklund) Nelson. When she was a junior in high school, her family moved close to Arnold, Nebraska where she met Lloyd Beltz, Jr. at a Baptist youth fellowship event. Jean and Lloyd were married on June 9, 1946, in Arnold. Before they were married, Jean earned a teaching certificate in high school and spent a couple years teaching in area country schools.
