Myrtle May Hollibaugh

March 28, 1942 — December 17, 2019

Myrtle May (Harris) Hollibaugh age 77 of Arcadia, NE passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born March 28, 1942 at Loup City. She went to grade school and graduated high school at Litchfield in 1959. She then attended beauty school and worked as a beautician for a number of years where she had her own shop in Ansley. Mert loved people and never knew a stranger, so she made many friends and acquaintances over the years while working at other jobs at BD, JC Penney’s, and Pump & Pantry. She had such a giving heart and loved to share things, whether it was a present, a card, homemade rolls, or a set of hand embroidered tea towels, she just enjoyed giving to others. Her biggest love was her family. She truly loved her visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, leaving them all with many cherished memories. She was so proud of all of them and loved sharing stories and pictures of all of them to any and all who cared to listen.

Those left to grieve her passing and miss her are: husband Dan Hollibaugh, son Lonnie “Craig” (Elizabeth) Lindner, daughter Cynthia (Sidney) Vose, step-daughter Shannon (Clark) Hruby, step-son Jim (Mindy) Conner, step-daughter Stephanie  (Barrett) Jensen, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and her beloved faithful companion “Grizz”.

Those waiting in heaven to greet her are parents Wilford and Mildred Harris, brother Charles Harris, sister Carolyn Crawford, infant daughter Deborah Lynn Lindner, infant sister Janiece Harris, infant brother Merton Carl Harris.

Memorial services will be Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Litchfield Christian Church in Litchfield, NE. Burial will be in the Litchfield Cemetery.
