Carol Ann Koslofsky

Carol Ann (Herbaugh) Koslofsky, age 74, of Thedford, NE, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the Great Plains Health Hospital in North Platte, NE.

Carol was born February 3, 1946 in Dunning, NE to Floyd Leland and Esther Louise (Haddix) Herbaugh. Carol graduated from Thedford High School and later received her Associate Degree in Electronics.

Carol served in the Peace Corps in Afghanistan with her first husband Alan Koslofsky. They traveled through Europe before returning to the United States in the early 1970’s.

Carol lived in many areas of the United States and met her second husband John Hayes while living in New Orleans before they returned to Nebraska.

Carol loved animals and had several cats and a dog. She was a colorful character with strong opinions who loved to learn and talk about ideas. She was beloved by her family.

Carol is survived by two daughters, Jane Howard of Omaha and Esther Hayes (Charles Merrill) of North Platte, one brother, Lewis Herbaugh (Susan Lurz Neal), two sisters, Frances Martin (Gene), and Babette Shaul (Jack), nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband John Hayes, her parents, and her brother Floyd Herbaugh.
