Shirley Sewill

Sargent, NE – Shirley Sewill age 80 of Sargent, NE passed away May 28, 2026, in Sargent, NE.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 13th, 2026, from 2-4pm at Key Villa in Sargent.

Shirley Ann Sewill was born on April 15, 1946, in Salina, KS to Fabius Mack and Laura (Clark) Lingo. Shirley grew up in the Salina, KS area. Finding her enjoyment of baseball and spending the most time with her older sister Georgia, that she adored.

Shirley married Richard Hardesty in 1967 in Salina, KS. To this union three children were born Debra, Daniel, and Gary. The couple later divorced, then she moved to Denver, CO. meeting Larry.

Shirley married Larry Sewill in 1988. She worked for the Kirby Company, later owning one of her own. After grandchildren were starting to come around, Shirley moved to Sargent in 1999; later divorcing Larry. After moving to Sargent, Shirley worked for Sargent Packing Plant until retirement.

Shirley enjoyed family, grandchildren, scratch tickets, motorcycles rides, traveling, and was a huge KC Royals Fan.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and son-in-law Hurbert Leroy Moore, Jr.

Shirley is survived by daughter Debra Moore of Sargent, sons Daniel (Amy) Hardesty of Comstock and Gary Hardesty of Sargent, six grandchildren Jondalar Frye (Bri Wolf), Tiffany Moore (Nathan Garcia), Benton Moore, Riley (Josh) Perkins, Ginnifir and Ginger, four great-grandchildren Riddick Garcia, Izaiha Frye, Abby and William, Soren and Tiernan Perkins, two nieces Kathy (Bill) Smith and Chris McDonnell, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is going to be missed by many and was loved by everyone around her. She will be buried in Wilson, KS alongside her parents and brothers at a later date.
