Shawn Porter age 50 of North Platte, NE passed away June 12, 2023, in Englewood, CO.

Funeral Service will be Friday, June 16, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, NE. Burial will follow in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Family. Shawn Dale Porter was born December 31, 1972, in Callaway, NE to Sherman and Louella “Lou” Porter. Shawn grew up in Broken Bow and graduated from Broken Bow High School. Shawn was a manager at McDonald’s before moving to North Platte, NE where he worked at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center.

Shawn enjoyed fishing, Husker Volleyball and Football.

Shawn was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Shawn is survived by his daughter Bailey Jo Porter of Lincoln, parents Sherman and Lou Porter of Broken Bow, brother Allen (Kristie) Porter of Broken Bow, sister Brenda Roach of Broken Bow, and special friend Tori Spears of Broken Bow.
