Sandy Anderson age 81 of Broken Bow, NE passed away July 12, 2022, at the Custer Care Center in Broken Bow.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 10:00 am at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Pastor Dean Hanson officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Merna. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 12:00 to 7:00 pm, with family greeting 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Govier Brothers Mortuary are in charge of arrangements. An online guest book may be signed at www.govierbrothers.com. Services will be livestreamed at www.govierbrother.com 

Sandra “Sandy” Elaine Anderson was born September 18, 1940, in Broken Bow, NE to G. Leland “Boots” and Kathryn (Johnson) McCaslin. Sandy attended a rural country school Northeast of Broken Bow, then attended and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1958. Sandy took a Home Economics class at the UNL for a year. On August 30, 1959, Sandy was united in marriage to Donald “Don” R. Anderson. The couple made their home for over 62 years west of Broken Bow. Sandy sold Ladies Intimates for over 50 years, which earned the couple many trips around the world, Hong Kong, Hawaii, Switzerland, Australia, the Caribbean, Mexico, Spain, and France. Sandy’s hobbies included being a Jr. 4-H leader, sewing for others, Church, and Bible study.

Sandy is survived by her husband Don of Broken Bow, children: Ron (Cathy) Anderson of Omaha, Angie Anderson of Broken Bow, Brett (Cheri) Anderson of Holdrege, and Dave (Stephanie) Anderson of Broken Bow, seven grandchildren: Ashley, Justin, Jordan, Alyssa, Jacob, Josh, and Nathan, two great grandchildren: Ryker and Wyatt, brothers Harold (Judy) McCaslin of Broken Bow, and Don (Nancy) McCaslin of Kansas City, KS, and sister-in-law Barbara McCaslin of Columbus, OH.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents’ “Boots” and Kathryn McCaslin, brother Norval McCaslin and nephew Jeremy McCaslin.
