Patricia Ann Winberg Gottschalk, 71, of Harlingen, Texas passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022. Patricia was born September 11, 1950, in Broken Bow, Nebraska to Russell and Marcella Winberg.

Services will be Saturday, February 12, at 10:30 AM at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. A luncheon will follow at the Custer County Fairgrounds in the Paddock building.

Patricia Ann Winberg Gottschalk, 71, of Harlingen, Texas passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022. Patricia, also known as Pat, Patty, Patty Ann, Cow Patty, and Extra Special Precious Patty, was born September 11, 1950 in Broken Bow, Nebraska, to the late Russell and Marcella Winberg.

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband Daniel J Gottschalk, and brothers Ron Winberg and Larry (Tuffy) Winberg.
Patricia is survived by daughter Cari Ann Gottschalk, son-in-law Chad Dewall, son Kyle Gottschalk, grandson Jaxson Butcher, sister Dorothy Mandeville (husband Albert Mandeville), and brother Robert Winberg (wife Ann Winberg).


Patricia attended grade school and high school in both Dunning, Nebraska and Broken Bow, Nebraska. In 1970, Patrica married Daniel J Gottschalk upon his return from Vietnam. The couple settled down in Broken Bow in 1971 where Pat was employed at multiple places, including Becton-Dickinson, Jack & Jill grocery store, and the Central Nebraska Livestock Commission. Patricia raised two children, daughter Cari Ann was born in 1974, and son Kyle was born two years later.


Patricia was an active gal that rarely sat still for long, she was often golfing with friends in league, supporting One Box activities, and volunteering at area rodeos and fairground events. Patricia also enjoyed bowling with her friends and traveling to state competitions. Patricia was a founding member and an active participant of P.O.E.T.S.


After retiring, Patrica divided her time between her cabin at Sherman Reservoir and her condo on the golf course in Harlingen, Texas where she lived and socialized with her family and friends.
