Pamela Jean Walker, age 65, was born on July 12, 1960, to Howard and Dorothy Curry. She was one of six children and grew up surrounded by family.
Pam met her husband, Roger Walker Sr., in 1979, and they were married on March 29, 1980. Pam and Roger liked to joke that the five dollars Roger paid her in exchange for her hand in marriage was the best money he ever spent. Together, they built a life and welcomed six children: Ryan, Roger, Robert, Sarrah, Sam, and Ricky.
Throughout their marriage, Pam and Roger traveled and lived in various places across the country while following Roger’s work. For a brief time, Pam worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a role that reflected her willingness to help others. Eventually, they made their home in Berwyn, NE, where they raised their family and where Pam spent the remainder of her days following a short hospital and skilled nursing facility stay.
Pam enjoyed gardening and sewing in her free time and found joy in caring for her home and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Dorothy Curry, and her son, Ryan Walker.
Pam is survived by her husband, Roger Walker Sr. of Berwyn, NE; her siblings, John Curry, Mark Curry, Kathy Watts, Diane Rauzi, and Gail Bishop; her children, Roger (Trish) Walker of Missouri, Robert Walker of Broken Bow, NE, Sarrah Carroll of Saint Paul, NE, Sam (Diana) Walker of Kansas, and Ricky (Kelcey) Walker of McCook, NE; and over a dozen grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Govier Brothers Mortuary, Broken Bow, NE. Graveside services will be held on January 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Janesville Cemetery in Berwyn, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and will be applied toward final arrangements.
