Norma married Lowell Blakely on November 18, 1961. After leaving Omaha they relocated to Dunning where the couple raised their family and helped Lowell with other chores around the ranch. Norma worked for McMullen Propane, Dunning Schools, babysat, and did cleaning. She enjoyed watching Husker football, crocheting, and going on trips to the Rosebud Casino. She enjoyed going to Dairy Queen, and walking.
