MaryAnn Pauline (Morris) Hauser was born on October 12, 1935, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, to Phillip and Naomi (Peltzer) Morris. She made her heavenly journey on December 1, 2025, at Brookestone View in Broken Bow, NE at the age of 90.
At the age of one MaryAnn moved to Nebraska when her father accepted a job planting trees at Bessey Ranger District, Nebraska National Forest.
MaryAnn accepted the Lord as her Savior in December of 1949, at a youth night rally at the Baptist Church in Ansley, NE with Norman and Jane Bristol, who were missionaries to Africa. She was later Baptized in the South Loup River.
MaryAnn attended country school and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1954. She received her teaching certificate from Chardon State College in the summer of 1954.
In 1955, MaryAnn met the love of her life and on October 16, 1955, she married Aloysius “Al” Hauser in Broken Bow. To this union three children were added. MaryAnn worked alongside Al, by taking phone orders, so Al could deliver fuel and grain. Along with Al’s trucking business MaryAnn taught Sunday school, was a 4-H leader, and shuffled kids to school and church activities. She also sold Shackley Products. As the kids grew, she started her cake baking business. Her first cake was the wedding cake for her daughter Linda’s wedding.
MaryAnn enjoyed time camping, reading, and caring for the grandkids and great grandkids.
MaryAnn is survived by daughters Linda (Jim) Cochran of North Platte, Gaylene Cox of Broken Bow, and son David Hauser of Broken Bow, nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, sister Roberta Dunn of Purdum, brothers Lou (Kay) Morris of Ohio and Leon (Judy) Morris of Purdum, and brother-in-law Duane Christiansen
MaryAnn was preceded in death by her husband Al, parents Phillip and Naomi, sister Genieve Christiansen and brother-in-law Wm Dunn
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Berean Bible Church in Broken Bow. The service will be livestream at www.govierbrothers.com. Burial will follow in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Berean Bible Church or Homeward Trail Bible Camp. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th, with the family greeting from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Govier Brothers Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
