Marvin Mason age 87 of Broken Bow, NE passed away October 11, 2022, at the Jennie M Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow.

Funeral Services will be Friday, October 14, 2022, at 10:00 am at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, NE with Pastor Dean Haidle officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Callaway, NE. Memorials are suggested to Custer County Foundation: Sandhills Fire Relief Fund. A visitation will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm with family greeting 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Govier Brothers Mortuary. Marvin Dee Mason was born November 23, 1934, in Broken Bow, NE to Isaac and Ada (Martin) Mason.  Marvin attended school and graduated from Oconto High School in 1951.   On January 3, 1957, Marvin was united in marriage to Marjorie Wise.  They lived in San Diego, CA for 6 years, as Marvin worked for Rohr Aircraft.  They also worked in Seattle, WA for a year with Boeing Aircraft.  They returned to Broken Bow, NE and Marvin worked in the tool and dye department at Becton Dickinson for over 30 years.  Marvin loved his family and enjoyed watching his kids’ sports activities. 

Marvin is survived by his wife Marjorie Mason of Broken Bow,  two sons Brett (Lisa) Mason of Bertrand, and Terry Mason of Callaway, grandson Bryce (Storm) Mason and their daughter Stella of Kearney, granddaughter Allison Mason and Cole Gibbins of Sidney, two sisters Milrae (Darl) Dittmar of Oconto, and Isla (Dwight) Royle of Amherst, and brother Keith (Cherilyn) Mason of Litchfield.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, son Dennis, brother Gene, and sister Deloris.
