Margie Ellingson

Broken Bow, NE – Margie Ellingson age 96 of Broken Bow passed away October 24, 2023, at the Brookestone View in Broken Bow.

Margie E. Ellingson was born April 8, 1927, to Nordal and Ruby (Geiser) Ellingson near Broken Bow, NE. She attended schools in various communities in Custer County, graduating from Broken Bow High School.

On July 29, 1946, she married Dillard Ellingson, they made their home in Broken Bow. Margie worked as a secretary for Gerald Thurman and Becton-Dickinson. She was a member of several secretarial organizations.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, several brothers-and sister-in-law, and other family members.

Survivors include son Larry Ellingson, brothers Robert and Harold “Dick” Ellingson, grandson Christopher, great grandson Christian and great granddaughters Alexia, Sadie, and Ashlyn Ellingson, plus many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 2:30 pm at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, NE with Garry Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Broken Bow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Broken Bow Fire Department or the American Heart Association. A register book may be signed at Govier Brothers Mortuary.
