Marge Hardy age 91, of Seneca, NE, passed away on June 17, 2026.

Marjorie Lou was born August 8, 1934, at Red Cloud, NE to Hiram and Marguerite (Peggy Suey) Moger. She attended Red Cloud Public Schools.

Marge accepted Christ as her Savior at a very young age and loved walking to church with her Grandmother Mary Ella Suey. Marge married Don E. Herbig September 24, 1950, at the home of her Grandparents, Walter and Mary Suey, in Red Cloud and made their home in Mullen, NE. The couple had two daughters, Peggy Irene, born October 9, 1951, and Donna Lou, Oct 20, 1955. The Herbig’s later divorced.

Marge graduated from LPN school in March 1969 and received her Nursing license in May of that year. She was employed by Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Mullen and often did private duty nursing at area hospitals.

On June 7,1969 Marge and John Hardy were married and made their home on his family ranch east of Seneca.

She became an EMT in August of 1974 and an instructor after a nephew’s death in 1982. She was named EMT of the year in 1989 and was honored by the Nebraska Legislature in 1992. She dearly loved Nursing and emergency work.

Marge also loved music, playing piano, organ, or accordion for many occasions. She taught many Sandhills kids to play accordion. She especially loved playing for church and with the Golden Classics and Sandhills Shamrocks bands.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Hardy and Grandson John William Holbrook and his mother Donna Sevier.

She leaves her beloved Daughter and Son in-laws Peggy and Rahn Bek and Tom Sevier and precious Grandchildren Robin and Dan Graves and their two children, and Tim Sevier and three great grandchildren. She also leaves Sisters Dorothy (Albert) Wood, Karon Baily, and Brothers Douglas (Marcene) Moger, Alvin (Jeneane) Crawford, Jim (Eva) Crawford, and many loving Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. She also leaves a Great many friends and students of EMT and music.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 10:30 AM Central Time at the Seneca Auditorium in Seneca, NE. Burial will follow in the Seneca Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Seneca United Church of Christ or Seneca Auditorium. A visitation and time to greet the family will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Central Time, 5:00 to 7:00 PM Mountain Time at the Mullen Funeral Home in Mullen.
