Logan Joseph Eberle was born on May 6, 2005, in Kearney, Nebraska to Duane “DJ” Jr. and Kari (Gross) Eberle. The family lived in Kenesaw and was the go to place for family Christmas gatherings. They also lived in Amherst before moving to the family farm south of Mason City. Logan attended Ansley Schools for a short time before changing to home schooling after COVID.
Logan has been employed at Sun Valley Landscaping in Ansley. He was always friendly and if you got lucky and got him talking, he would tell you some interesting stuff.
Logan was very active in 4-H. As a young boy he showed rabbits, goats, and pigs. One of those goats spent quite a bit of time indoors being pampered. He also had a hedgehog that would travel as the family visited relatives’ homes.
Logan also enjoyed doing archery in 4-H. He had the opportunity to go to Nationals for archery representing the Phelps County 4-H club and competed with the team. Logan loved playing video games. He would spend hours making new online friends while gaming and chatting with others over the internet.
Logan was a very soft-hearted young man. He was always very kind to his cousins’ much younger children. He loved watching the deer and wildlife when he visited family in Colorado. He was always willing to help others and had a great sense of humor. His face lit up when he told you a joke or teased you. He would play catch with one of his uncles and call him a young boy in an old man’s body.
Logan is survived by his parents, DJ and Kari Eberle of Mason City, his sister Cortnee Eberle of Mason City, and a brother Jonathan (Keagan) Eberle of Missouri.
