Linda Diane (Dickey) Rosentreader passed away on April 28, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born on January 16, 1951, in Alliance, Nebraska, to Patricia and Alvin Dickey. She spent her early childhood in Hemingford before moving with her parents to Broken Bow in 1954 due to her father’s work with the railroad. Linda graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1969 and began her career at Becton Dickinson, where she worked from 1969 to 1971.

On April 17, 1971, Linda married the love of her life, Terry Rosentreader. The couple made their home on an acreage near Ansley, where they spent the next 55 years building a life together and raising their three children.

In 1983, Linda began working at Ansley Public School as a librarian. Over her many years there, she touched the lives of countless students, sharing her love of reading and even learning several foreign languages alongside the children. She retired in 2016 after more than three decades of service. Linda also dedicated many years to the Ansley Township Library Board.

Linda found joy in sewing, cooking, gardening, cake decorating, and all the daily rhythms of life on a small acreage. She was actively involved in 4‑H and FFA activities and enjoyed supporting youth in their projects and passions.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Patricia Dickey; her parents‑in‑law, Orval and Martha Rosentreader; her grandparents, Wilma and Oscar Dickey and Fred and Dorothy Hannaman; and her daughter, Linsay Gayle Rosentreader.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Terry; her children Anthony and fiancée Kim, Krista (Michael) Stefan, and Nathan and fiancée Kelly Jo; and her grandchildren Topanga (Austin) Hawks, Coy and special friend Josey, and Daniel, her sisters Sharon Russell, Marilyn (Lawrence) Adams, and Brenda Shipps.

Linda loved horse trail rides, buggy rides, and tractor drives

Live with intention, walk to the edge, listen hard, practice wellness, play with abandon, laugh,

choose with no regret, continue to learn, appreciate your friend,

do what you love, and live as if this is all there is.
