Jim Korth age 67 of Broken Bow, NE formerly of Scotia, NE passed away February 12, 2022, at his home in Broken Bow.
Graveside service will be Friday, February 18, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Greeley Cemetery in Greeley, NE with Mark Middendorf officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Family of Jim Korth. Jim was born September 21, 1954, in Fort Riley, Kansas to Robert and Elizabeth (Riessen) Korth. He attended Wisner-Pilger High School. On January 24, 1976, he was united in marriage to Maureen Finn in Greeley, Nebraska. To this union three children were born Amanda, Michael, and Matthew. Jim was a farmer and rancher in Scotia most of his life.
Back in the day he played for the Horace softball team and later he played church league in North Loup. You could always find him at Happy Jacks playing 21 with the good ole boys.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and collecting guns. He was a wonderful son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed dearly.
Jim is survived by his children: Amanda (Brian) Johnson of North Loup, Mike Korth of Palmer, and Matthew (Michelle) Korth of Greeley, father: Bob Korth of Greeley, seven grandchildren: Connor, Cale, Madden, Mya, Braylen, Olive, and Jack, two brothers: Jan (LeAnn) Korth of Lincoln, and Jamie (Samantha) Korth of St. Paul, two sisters: Jill (Mike) Powers of Broken Bow, and Jodi (Bill) Thompson of St. Paul, and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth, and his grandparents.
