Broken Bow, NE – Jennifer Stephens age 56, of Broken Bow, NE passed away May 21, 2025, at her home in Broken Bow.
Jennifer Noelle Kathleen Stephens was born in Burbank, California, on January 30,1969. She grew up in Burbank and moved to Montana and then Nebraska.
She spent her life caring for her children – her greatest joys. Her second greatest joy in life was becoming a grandma. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She never missed out on a moment to spoil them. She was a drum major in high school and was very passionate about music, something her and her children bonded over. Her favorite pastimes were reading and writing – she had always wanted to pursue more with her writing and playing video games; a hobby that she shared with her family. Jennifer was also very passionate about learning, accepting, and sharing her faith in Christ; her relationship with God brought great comfort to her and those around her.
Jennifer was funny, caring, kind and resilient. She brought a positive light and laughter to any conversation. She taught her children and the many children she helped raise as her own, that no matter what you go through, you are stronger than you think. Jen was always there to open her home to those that needed somewhere to go, her arms to those that needed a hug, and her mind to those that needed someone to talk to.
Jennifer is survived by her two children; Tyler Stephens (Dahn) of Missoula, MT; Teryn Stephens of Broken Bow, NE. Three grandchildren; Joseph, Aethea, and Torin. Her mother Eileen Collins of Lancaster, CA. Her two siblings; sister Amanda Wheeler of Lancaster, CA and her brother Joseph Wheeler of Costa Mesa, CA. As well as close friend Matt Cox, and many others.
