Greg Pierce

Gregory Allyn Pierce of Oconto, NE passed away on June 5, 2026.

Gregory was born on December 22, 1955, in Callaway to Allyn and Shirley (Lichtenberger) Pierce, the oldest of four children.

He graduated from Callaway High School in 1974. While in high school he was selected to tour Europe in his junior year as a member of the American Youth Symphonic Band and Chorus and was named Nebraska’s Outstanding Teen-ager for 1974.

In 1975, he married Karla Cole and in 1978 their daughter Brandy was born they later divorced in 81.

Greg graduated from Kearney State in 1979 with a teaching degree. While in college he worked at the T.V. Station and later moved to Laughton, Oklahoma, where he worked at the T.V. Station for several years.

He spent many years working at the Exit 231 Truck Wash.

Greg enjoyed woodworking and made lots of gifts for family and friends. He loved to golf and especially enjoyed watching his four grandsons play sports.

Greg is survived by his daughter Brandy (Justin) Mason of Callaway, grandsons Jacob (Katie) Mason, Carson Mason, Dawson Mason, and Cruz Mason all of Callaway and great- grandsons Scout and Oliver Mason, mother Shirley Pierce of Callaway, sister Sulin of Denver, CO, and nieces and nephews Kendra, Kimberly, Robert and Evan.

Greg was preceded in death by his father Allyn, brothers Kenneth and Rick and nephew Kyle.

Graveside service will be held at a later date. 

Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
