Broken Bow, NE- Glenn Clark, age 79 of Broken Bow passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, in Lincoln, NE. Glenn dedicated his life to his family, his law career, and many hobbies that kept him busy throughout the years.

Glenn Arthur Clark was born and September 17, 1946, at Benkelman, NE to Ralph and Lucille (Brown) Clark. Glenn grew up in Benkelman and later graduated from high school in 1964.

A proud veteran, Glenn served in the US Navy, January 29, 1965- January 27, 1969. Glen was part of the first crew to serve on the USS Tripoli as a radio mechanic. Glenn served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded with many honors. His time in the service was marked by a commitment to excellence and duty, characteristics that he carried into his civilian life.

Following his military service Glenn went to college at Chadron State and graduated in 1973. He then enrolled in the University of Nebraska College of Law and graduated in 1976, with a Juris of Doctorate Degree. He then embarked on a distinguished law career, initially working under John Neff in Lexington, Nebraska. Glenn's passion for justice and community service led him to serve as County Attorney for Dawson, Phelps, Custer, Valley, and Blaine counties, a role he fulfilled with dedication until his passing.

Beyond his professional life, Glenn was a consummate tinkerer and an ever-ready handyman for his family and friends. His garage was his sanctuary, filled with ongoing projects and the pervasive scent of motor oil. When not immersed in his mechanical pursuits, Glenn could be found meticulously tending to his lawn, ensuring every blade of grass was perfectly in place.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Carol Clark, daughters, Christine (Mark) Dowse, and Cara Jones, son Tyler Clark, grandchildren, Madison Powell, Josie Dowse, Gabriell Powell, Jacob Dowse, Katie Dowse, and Jack Jones. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Wilkens, brothers, Bob (Judy) Clark, and Gary (Gail) Clark, sister’s in-law, Carla (Pat) Maker, Candice (Dr. Mike) Owens, and numerous, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Glenn was preceded in death by h is parents, in-laws Otto and Berniece Nordhausen, brothers, Harold Stevens and Wayne Clark, brother in-law Jim Wilkens.

A memorial service will be held on Friday April 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, NE with Pastor Kathy Salts officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the US Navy.

A visitation and time to greet the family will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Words of encouragement and remembrance can be left at www.govierbrothers.com .
