Stapleton, NE - Gayle Frosh age 91 of Stapleton, NE passed away on February 17, 2026, at Maples at Centennial in North Platte, NE.

Gayle June (Henry) Frosh was born on December 17, 1934, on a family farm in Logan County, NE on Garfield Table to Frank and Dorothy (Maize) Henry.

Gayle grew up on the farm helping with whatever needed done along with her brothers Robert and James, and sister Judy whom she shared a very special bond. Gayle attended Gandy High School in Gandy, NE, graduating in 1952.

After graduating, she met the love of her life Beryl Frosh, they were married on November 28, 1954, in the little church on Garfield Table.

After marrying they moved to Kansas City, MO, where Beryl attended trade school, and Gayle worked at a bank, and telephone Company until moving to Lexington, NE area to farm. During this time, they welcomed, through adoption, a baby boy to be named Frank Henry after Gayle's father. A few years later they again adopted this time a girl to be named Lori Jo. They continued to farm for several years before moving to the Arnold-Stapleton area where Gayle started attending Nursing School at Mid-Plains Community College, graduating in the first LPN class in 1972.

Gayle continued her nursing career with pursuing her RN degree and Surgical Tech Certification. She worked at Memorial Hospital and when the Hospital merged, she continued at Great Plains Regional Medical Center, retiring in 1995. During her time there she met many people, who became lifelong friends. She also was a special part of patients' lives, including delivering the first set of triplets there. She had many stories of events she was involved in and stories of families that many loved to hear. After Beryl passed away in 2018, Gayle continued to live on the family farm for five more years with the help of some wonderful family, friends and neighbors. "You all know who you are". Soon after Gayle, due to health reasons, made the difficult choice to move to Centennial Nursing Home, where she lived for numerous years, making more friends and memories throughout this time. Gayle always put family first and will be remembered as a person who would help whomever she could with whatever she could and will be extremely missed.

Gayle was preceded in death by her husband Beryl Frosh of 64 years, parents Frank and Dorothy (Maize) Henry, in-laws Fred and Lenore (Dewitt) Frosh, brothers and sisters-in-law Robert (Diana) Henry and James (Cathy) Henry, Margie (Dan) Grafton, Lucille Lucerno, John Johnson, George Frosh, Ray Frosh, Loyd Frosh, Lois (Leon) Clevenger, Ruth Ross, and a grandson Justin Frosh.
