Roberta Gay Ash, age 69, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021 at Community Memorial Health System. She was born on October 23, 1951 in Sargent to Jack and Mary (Plock) Brass. After high school, Gay went on to marry Jim Ash on April 21, 1973. Jim and Gay Ash have three wonderful daughters Jacki, Jayme, and Jillian.
Gay loved many things in life, her grandkids, sewing, drinking Coke, making grandma bread, bowling, golfing, gambling, and delivering mail. Gay also babysat for many years. She was active on the Sargent Women's Action Team, enjoyed being in the town's play, and was in the multi award winning group, The Snoop Sisters.
Gay is survived by her husband, Jim, daughters Jack Ash & Chris Beran, Jayme & Nathan Hawk, and Jillian & Brandon Ingraham, her seven grandkids, Rileigh, Mace, Brennan, Hayes Beran, Harper & Hudson Hawk, and Claire Ingraham as well as her sisters Brenda Keefe and LuAnn Lewis. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Please join us in celebrating Gay's life on Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Sargent Community Center in Sargent Nebraska at 10:30 am with lunch to follow. There will be a private burial at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the Sargent Women's Action Team and Mt. Hope Cemetery. Govier Brothers Mortuary are in charge of arrangements. An online guest book may be signed at www.govierbrothers.com.
