March 11, 1933 — February 3, 2019

Evelyn Janice Catlett age 85, passed away February 3, 2019, at Brookestone View in Broken Bow, NE.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 8, 2019, at 1:00 PM at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, NE with Rev. Mel Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in the Westerville Cemetery in Westerville, NE. Memorials will be designated to the Westerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow, NE. Govier Brothers Mortuary are in charge of arrangements. Evelyn was born March 11, 1933, to Leonard and Rose (Fortik) Trew at home near Cumro, NE. Evelyn was the 6th child of 10 siblings. Evelyn attended Cat Creek School at Cumro during her elementary years. In 1950 she graduated from Ansley High School.

On November 14, 1951, Evelyn married Wayne Catlett in Grand Island, NE. They made their home at Westerville where they raised their 3 children.

Evelyn and Wayne celebrated their 60th anniversary on November 14, 2011. Wayne passed in April of 2012.

Some interests of Evelyn’s were gardening, sewing, and was a wonderful cook. For a few years, she worked at Doty’s clothing store in Broken Bow.

Survivors include daughter Joan (Bill) Watson of Westerville, NE, son Tim (Jeanne) Catlett of Westerville, Ne and daughter Lori (Dave) Webster of North Platte, NE, grandchildren, Sean (Judi) Case of Australia, Brooke (Brent) Karre of North Platte, NE, Jared Webster of North Platte, NE and Shelby Webster of Kearney, NE, great-grandchildren, Simon and Sarah Case, Braden Case, Nevaeh Meston, Addison and Landon Karre, one brother Larry (Claudia) Trew of Chapman, NE and two sisters, Vivian Reisser of Norfolk, NE and Laraine (Paul) St. John of Kearney, NE, plus many nephews and nieces.

Preceding Evelyn in death is her parents, husband, grandson Ross Catlett, four brothers, Glenn, Wayne, Earl and Floyd Trew, two sisters, Bernice Peterson, and Marqurette Johnson.
