Eric John Larsen was born on March 9th, 1976, in Freehold, NJ, the son of Anne (Churchill) Thomas and Lawrence Larsen. Eric lived in Matawan, NJ, Millstone, NJ, Broken Bow, Nebraska, and settled in Kearney, Nebraska.

Eric graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1994, then went on to earn his Degree from the University of Nebraska, in Psychology. Class of 2002

Eric loved the Nebraska life, riding through the fields at sunset and enjoying his time in the country. He always maintained a strong connection with the Lord, stating Jesus was the best friend he’d ever know. Eric would always help those in need and always maintained strong personal convictions in facing his fears and pains head on. He also enjoyed restoring old furniture and ATV’s, anything working with his hands.

Eric is survived by his mother Anne (RJ) Thomas, brothers; Ron Larsen & his children Colin Larsen, Rebecca Larsen, and Sarah Larsen, Matt Thomas (Jami Anderson), Adam (Emily) Thomas, a sister; Kelsey Lehman, and his late father’s wife Rae Larsen & her children Justin Cook and Jordan Cook.

Eric was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Larsen.

Eric’s favorite quotes:

Rest well tonight, God is preparing doors to be opened

"There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us." -1 John 4:18-19

The man who runs from pain will be chased by it forever.

If you can’t do anything about it then let it go. Don’t be a prisoner to the things you can’t change.

The man who turns around and walks into pain on his own terms robs it of its power. He meets it prepared. He meets it on his feet. And when it comes for him uninvited, it finds someone who has already made peace with the fire.

Every man is guilty of the good he did not do.
