Elnora Maude Traphagan

Elnora Maude Traphagan, 87, died May 15^th, 2019, at Emerald Nursing and Rehab in Cozad.  Her graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 22^nd at 11:00 am at the Cedar Bluffs Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Kelley of United Methodist Church in McCook offering words of comfort.     

Elnora was born on April 16^th, 1932 to William and Edna Carfield.  She was the 6^th of 9 children born to William and Edna. She enjoyed living the country life during her younger years with her parents and siblings.  Elnora attended Willsonville Schools. After graduating school, Elnora met and married Raymond Traphagan.  They welcomed three children together; Lauana, Wynona, and Raymond, Jr.

 In 1964, Elnora obtained her Cosmetology license and she continued with her Beautician career through the years, which at one point she had a salon in her home in Colorado. 

Elnora is survived by her nieces and nephews, Kennard (Sherri) Carfield, Rex (Donna) Carfield, Alice Norman, Vony (Lynne) Carfield, Sherri Abertnathy, Lynne Scribner, and grandchildren.

Elnora was preceded in death by her parents and her children; Lauana (Bonnie) Ridinger, Wynona Wisdom, and Raymond Traphagan, Jr; brothers, Kenneth Carfield and Elmer Carfield; sisters, Agnes Wegener, Ona Scribner, Mildred Carfield, Margie Patras, Elma Bisbee, and Paulina Davis. 

Thank you to the caregivers and staff at Broken Bow Care and Rehab, Gaylean Millsap, caregivers and staff at Emerald Nursing and Rehab in Cozad, Aseracare Hospice, and the Office of Public Guardian for the care and kindness given to Elnora.
