Denny David Goos, 65, of Taylor, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, in Kearney, Nebraska surrounded by loving family and friends.
Born on June 11, 1960, in Burwell, NE, Denny was the son of Rosalie and the late Larry Goos. Denny went to school in Taylor, NE from Kindergarten through first grade before moving to Kearney where he would graduate from Kearney high school in 1978. After graduation Denny worked for his uncle Dave Mignery near Barlett, working in the hayfield and working cattle. Shortly after, Denny moved to Taylor and was involved in building the Calamus Dam. In the 1990’s he owned and operated Taylor Feed and Supply as well as a fencing business. In July of 2022, Denny retired after 25 years working at Becton Dickinson in Broken Bow.
Denny was united in marriage to Cindy Fletcher on April 12, 1986. Together they raised two children, daughter Michaela and son, Miles. Denny was also a proud grandfather to Payton Agan, Talon Goos, and Grayson Stobbe. Time spent with his grandchildren was what Denny treasured most.
Denny is survived by his wife Cindy Goos of Taylor, daughter Michaela Goos (Eric Kittoe) of Kearney, son Miles Goos (Abby Alfs) of Hampton, mother Rosalie Goos of Kearney; his sister Cindy (Bobby) Kelly of Kearney; and his parents-in-law Irvin and Joyce Fletcher of Taylor. Denny’s extended family includes sisters-in-law Bobbie (Roy) Barta of St. Paul and Pat (Vaughn) Meeks of Denton, as well as many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Denny was preceded in death by his father Larry Goos; brothers Troy Goos and Larry Vaughn Goos; grandparents Ted and Lila Goos, JU and Delpha Predmore; and sister-in-law Raeleen Beal.
A visitation with family greeting friends will be held at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow on Sunday, January 11th from 3-5 PM. Burial to take place at Taylor Cemetery on Monday, January 12th at 11 AM, with luncheon to follow at Lazy D. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Taylor Public Library or 4 The Cure cancer fund in Burwell
Denny’s memory will live on through those who knew him and loved him.
May his legacy bring comfort to all whose lives he touched.
