Craig was a proud father to his three children: Cade, Lydia, and Casey. He is also survived by his seven brothers, Tom, Mark, Steve, Dave, Greg, Matt, and Tim.

Craig graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences. Craig continued his education with the United States Air Force's Air University, the United States Army Intelligence Center, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, among others.

His professional life was marked by over 25 years of service in both the public and private sectors. His distinguished career included roles with the U.S. Forest Service as a Team Leader, the Civilian Expeditionary Workforce as an Environmental Program Manager, the Departments of the Army and Air Force as a Program Manager, and the United States Air Force as a Staff Weather Officer.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Craig found joy and peace in the outdoors. He especially loved hiking and exploring the landscapes of Utah, where he lived for eight years.

Music was a lifelong passion for Craig—more than just a hobby, it was a part of his identity. From an early age, he had a deep connection to sound and rhythm. He played in multiple bands throughout high school, college, and into his adult life, sharing his love for music with friends, family, and audiences alike. He played guitar and loved to sing, using both to express himself and to bring joy to others. Whether he was performing on stage or strumming at home, music remained a constant source of inspiration and connection in his life.
