Memorial services for Charles and Linda Humphrey will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 9:30 AM Mountain Time at the St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church in Mullen, NE Burial will follow in the Cedarview Cemetery with Military Honors. Charles Arthur Humphrey, 82 died at Oregon Health and Science University on Tuesday, October 11th at 9:25am
He was born in Arnold, Nebraska to Carl and Josephine Humphrey. He lived in Mullen, Nebraska until graduating from high school in 1957. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and he served as an engineering officer in the Navy from 1962-1966.
He married Linda Jean Turnbull in Billings, Montana on March 10th, 1963. Survivors include his wife, Linda, a daughter Anne Renaud of Kuna Idaho, a son Adam Humphrey of San Jose California, four grandchildren, a brother Miles Humphrey of Twin Falls Idaho, and a sister Jane Boyden of Otis Oregon.
Linda Jean (Turnbull) Humphrey

Linda Jean Humphrey, 84 died at CornerStone Senior Living in Boise, Idaho on Wednesday, January 1st at 6:03pm.
She was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Theodore and Ella Turnbull. She had one sister, Joyce Chritton. She lived in Nebraska until graduating from Mitchell High School in 1957. She graduated from the University of Nebraska with a bachelor’s degree in art history and education and taught Art and English as an educator for many years.
She married Charles Arthur Humphrey in Billings, Montana, March 10th, 1963. She gifted her time volunteering in many organizations. She was a member of PEO for fifty years in Corvallis, Oregon. Her passion was oil painting, and she participated in Vistas and Vineyards for over twenty years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Humphrey and sister, Joyce Chritton Krieger. She is survived by a daughter Anne Renaud (Anthony) of Kuna Idaho, a son Adam Humphrey (Michelle) of San Jose California, and four grandchildren: Nathaniel Campbell of Oakland California, Morgan Campbell of Bend Oregon, Reese Renaud of Kuna Idaho, and Alexander Humphrey of San Jose, California.
Her love of painting guided her life, and she was active in the artistic community she helped foster wherever she was.
