Chad Dean Carson, born May 2nd, 1970, in Bassett, NE, left this world at 55 years of age and was sent to his eternal home. He was the loving father to Jake and Chase and the beloved son of Dan and Shirley Carson.
Chad grew up in the beautiful Sandhills on Carson Ranch. At an early age, Chad had a love for airplanes which eventually landed him at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa Oklahoma. After completing his education, Chad was employed with Delta Airlines in Atlanta, GA. From Tulsa, he moved to Atlanta and eventually found a forever home in Kennesaw, GA. He married and had two sons, Chase and Jake.
“He was the kind of dad who made childhood magical, spending summers at Whitewater, cheering proudly at every swim meet, and turning ordinary days into adventures. When we were little, we had “airplane wars” in the living room, laughing until our sides hurt as we threw paper airplanes at each other. He loved playing video games with us, visiting school at lunch so we could eat “on stage” in front of everyone in elementary school (which was a big deal back then), and being there no matter what, especially when we were sick or needed him most.
He helped teach us the importance of hard work and patience, whether through late nights at the workbench fixing cars or while building skills and character together in Boy Scouts.” Chase & Jake
Saturdays in the fall often found Chad cheering for his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers, sharing every victory and heartbreak with his family. He cherished time outdoors—whether casting a fishing line into the water or exploring new places, he was always eager to discover something new and share those adventures with the people he loved.
Chad worked at Delta Airlines for over 25 years. Skilled with his hands, he rose from airframe technician to engine inspector. In his spare time, he loved working on his vehicle and made several how-to videos about troublesome fixes for YouTube. Chad could build or fix anything. He had a side construction business called “To Do List Now”, helping countless homeowners.
Chad had a heart for Men’s Ministry and was active as a leader in “Thy King’s Men” Ministry Group in Atlanta for many years. The group was known to bond through white water rafting as well as volunteering to serve meals at homeless shelters. It was said by Mike Galanos, another member, “Chad made an impact on so many lives! God used Chad and his childlike faithful heart”. Chad honored God and sought to please him in his life. He spent time daily in God’s Word and in prayer.
“He was never too busy to teach, to listen, or to share a laugh. The lessons he gave, whether under the hood of a car, beside a campfire, or cheering for Nebraska football will stay with us forever.” Chase & Jake
“Chad was a dreamer, he told his version of a better society, one that was fair to all. He was ready to give love or share words of inspiration when you were feeling down or needed it” Colt
“One of my favorite things about Chad is that I always knew when Colt was on the phone with Chad based on his laugh when Chad would tell a joke. Chad had a way of bringing out a special kind of laugh in people with his jokes.” Caroline
“He was curious, always eager to learn and share. He had a strong sense of service and was dedicated to his many communities. He loved being a father and was excited to show the world to his sons.” Todd
“I will remember his smile, his unique laugh and his deep love for his sons. He also had such a desire to learn and research, with books strewn across his kitchen island, all open and full of notes. Chad wanted to share what he was learning. In our last knowledge lesson, we discussed the meaning of “indeterminate”. He always wanted to better himself and the lives of others. I will remember a life well lived.” Cody
Chad was full of laughter, loved to make a joke or two and loved to dance. Chad always tried to see the world in a unique beautiful way. He was humble, generous and thoughtful. He had a kind spirit and a gentle laugh. He always ended a conversation with “I love you”. His passing has left a void in our hearts; his family and friends. We remember him for the way his life was lived. He lived life with love and compassion and an unwavering faith for God.
Chad is survived and missed by his son’s Chase Dean and Jacob Lewis, his loving parents, Dan and Shirley, his sister and brother-in-law Cody Jean and Todd Allan, his brother and sister-in-law Colt Eli and Caroline Renne, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We love you, Chad.
