Carson William Quackenbush, 25, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026, in Broken Bow, NE.

Carson was born on October 23, 2000, to Brad and Darla Quackenbush in Kearney, NE.

From a young age, Carson was vivacious and full of stories, smiles and laughter. He was a thoughtful, considerate, and kind soul who will be remembered for his generous heart, helping hands, and the joy he brought to those around him. He was passionate about music, his nieces, his beliefs where he found interest in advocating for different causes, and his soul dog, Kya. Carson took a shine to music and attended concerts as often as able; often traveling far and wide to attend with family, friends, and his long-term girlfriend, Stevie Thorell, to be able to share their mutual love of music. Carson was a Hagan Scholar and attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and while at UNK was active in Pi Kappa Alpha. He graduated from Broken Bow High School, class of 2019.

Carson is survived by his parents Brad and Darla Quackenbush of Broken Bow, sister Courtney (Jake) Richardson of Aurora, NE; sister Kaleigh (Jon) Berghorst and their daughters Harley, Raegan, Chandler, and Sloane of Broken Bow, NE; brother Seth Quackenbush of Kansas City, MO; girlfriend Stevie Thorell, grandmother Emma Elaine Kershner of Hastings, NE; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and family.

Carson was preceded in death by his grandparents Ray and Kathy Quackenbush; grandfather Valdean Kershner; and uncle Shawn Quackenbush.
