Bonnie Jean Seeger

October 25th, 1932 - August 1st, 2026

Bonnie was called home to be with the Lord on August 1st, 2026. Bonnie was born October 25th, 1932, on a farm South of Broken Bow, NE to Harold ‘Bud’ & Francis Trotter. She grew up on a farm South of Berwyn and attended a one room rural school until the 8th grade. She attended High School in Ansley, NE, where she met Bob Seeger. The couple were married on June 25th, 1950, in Taylor, NE at the Assembly of God Church. Into their union three children were born; Connie Lea, William James, and Beverly Jo-Ann.

Bonnie taught school for many years, starting out in a rural one room K-8, until she received her degree, then she taught in Broken Bow until her retirement.

Bonnie accepted Christ as her Savior in December 1964. Bob and Bonnie were long time members of the Broken Bow Berean Church where Bonnie was involved in AWANA, Sunday School, neighborhood Bible Time, Women’s ministries and anywhere else she was needed in the church. Bonnie was an active member of her community, always willing to help any neighbor or friend in their time of need.

Bob & Bonnie enjoyed many years of retirement at Johnson Lake. Their greatest happiness was spending time with their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bonnie led a women’s Bible study and continued to play bridge and Bunco throughout most of her retirement. Bob and Bonnie were blessed with 66 years of marriage before God called Bob home in 2016.

Bonnie is survived by her children; Connie & Steve Palmer of Henderson, Bill & Annie Seeger of Johnson Lake, Bev & Roger Rice of Ord; her grandchildren; Tresia & Kiley White, Daryl & Stacie Palmer, Lori & Jeremy Johnson, Bob & Kayt Seeger, Libby & Adam McIntosh, Colin Rice, and Ella Rice; and her great-grandchildren; Christapher (Richele), Aaron (TIffany), Arizona, Aria, Kyrie, Corban, Roland, Eden, William, Annabelle, Evie & Katie and great-great granddaughter Margo.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Bob Seeger, her parents Bud & Francis Trotter, brother Franklin ‘Babe’ Trotter, & Sister Donna ‘Doll’ Winbolt.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 6th, 2026, at 10:30am at the Broken Bow Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the One Box Convention Center. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Johnson Lake EMS.
