Edward T. “Sonny” Spanel

Edward “Sonny” Spanel age 79 of Anselmo died February 9, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services will be held Thursday February 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Govier Brothers Chapel with Pastor Dale Coates officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Govier Bros. Mortuary with family greeting friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Interment will be at Victoria Springs Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Anselmo Fire Department or the donor’s choice.

Sonny is survived by his wife Erma Rae of Anselmo, two sons Charles Edward (Linda) Spanel of Lincoln and Doug Spanel of Anselmo, one daughter Mary (Randy) Leiser of Grand Island, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren, sister Patricia (Gary) Winchester of Anselmo and sister-in-law Carol Spanel of Broken Bow.
